request was for a modem file for certain customers with 5Mb download speeds to not be allowed to to view streaming services because they stream 24/7 and eat up a ton of data. customers with the 300Mb service aren't limited or capped, but even they only use a small fraction of the overall data of some of the 5Mb service customers.
issue is Hulu uses rtmp and netflix uses dash protocols for streaming, not sure what others like amazon uses.
what's the best way to block streaming on the modem file?
Good morning all
I currently have Cisco DPC3825; SW_REV: dpc3825-v302r125574-150723a; MODEL: DPC3825 and there's wifi issues that I hope is resolved with newer firmware.
please let me know if you have newer available to see if it can resolve the wifi issue (low throughput, even within 10 feet. example 3Mb instead of 50Mb)
I am looking for the OID for monitoring the number of all registered cable modems on the CMTS.
I have OIDs for monitoring the numbers of modems on different interfaces...but I would like to monitor the number of modems on the whole CMTS.
The Cable Modem only detects 5 frequencies in Dowstream, now when I look at my monitoring system, the graphs show that the balance is being made with 8 Dowstreams.
I'm looking for whats listed as "a private Arris/Motorola MIB, cmConfigDiplexerControl" that can set the internal switchable diplexer in the modem allowing for 5-85 MHz operation.
One mac domain works perfect and modems bond to all upstreams and you can see SNR CER and UCER on the interface. A second mac domain doesn't show SNR CER or UCER and does not report any modems on it, but when I look specifically at the interface it does. Is it a docsis 2 thing?
I am having a lot of issues getting disconnected, wired and wireless network. I paste the log to see if somebody can help me figure out what the problem is, and how to tell if its my side or my isp side problem. Thanks in advance to all...
