Arris TG1682G - VoIP Setup

Forums:

We are currently trying to implement modem/voip combo units and I honestly have no idea where to begin for the config of the voip side.
Traditionally we've been using HT801 or SPA112 to install voip to customers. We are running an Arris UCM for our phone system.

We'd like it if we could keep the voip device on our internal 10. IP set like the modems are now, or at least a separate network from the other CPE side of things.

Normally the fields we use are the SIP server, SIP username, and SIP password.

Modems stuck offline

Forums:

I'm having a fit out of what seems like only 16 channel modems getting stuck in an offline state (assuming not locking to downstream) after disruptions such as small blips in the power or the plant losing and re-establishing RF. The are Pace D5001 wireless combo routers, and SB6183 wired modems. Sometimes it is taking a few reboots on the customer end to get the modems to get back online on the system. If the modem isn't rebooted, it will sit indefinitely in the offline state on the CMTS, and in whatever hung up state it is in at the customers house.

UBR10k remote query

Forums:

Hello everybody!
There is UBR10K with modems working in 2.0 and 3.0 mode. I need to configure modem polling using remote query to find out the US / DS signal values. Before that, I would like to know why modems in 3.0 mode show values via scm verbose (all 4 US values) & phy, and why 2.0 modems do not show anything (0.0)
I would also like to know how much CPU will be loaded if 4000 modems are polled
Thanks!

IPv6 CASA C2200

Forums:

Hello, I am trying to get CASA C2200 IPv6 up and running. I have made static CPE settings work. The Internet is accessible from this address. Everything works with a PC directly behind the modem. If the router is connected to the modem, it pings from the WAN address but does not ping from the LAN. Please if anyone has IPv6 running on CASA, if they could provide config. Thank you very much

CMTS 1000- Provisioning issue

Forums:

Good day all, I have been playing around with my old Nortel/Arris CMTS 1000, yeah yeah I know its like 20 years old but for a home docsis lab it will suffice.
Anyway, I have a few different modems I am trying to connect up however they keep failing to register and just boot loop!

The modem logs tell me one of two things (depending upon which config I use)
either "reg-rsp invalid format or unrecognized" or "reg-rsp no response"

CASA C3200 LACP

Forums:

Hi,

I have configured the trunk interface and LACP on CMTS. The both interfaces are up, but I notice that bandwidth is not balanced.
On gige 0 port is whole download traffic, on gige 1 is just upload traffic.
On gige 0 is approx 800 Mibt/s and I don't know why is not balanced between both of them.

Does anybody have some experiences?

Thans in advance, 0603

interface trunk 1
gige 0 mode active
gige 1 mode active
ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.252
description "(LAG)"
ip access-group 135
no shutdown

POD Tool (SIP)

Forums:

Hi,

It seems the POD.exe tool that has been used since 2005 has stopped working. I am now unable to access the SIP settings on Thomson 520, 540 or 870 cable modems.

Does anyone know a way around this issue?

Regards,
