I've setup 0/2 for management with 10.0.0.2. Bundle 1 has 10.0.0.3. DHCP server has 10.0.0.1.
I can ping 10.0.0.1 from uBR. I can ping 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.3 from DHCP server. DHCP server gets request from 10.0.0.3 with giaddr of 10.0.0.3 and sends a response, but the modem say it never recieved a response.
I work in the computer security industry, as many of you know, keeping a intruder out of a network is not easy. Keeping up with patching all devices on a network is also difficult. This does not include risk from unknown / zero day vulnerabilities. To have a better security position, security admins are looking for ways to better block outgoing network traffic in addition to using firewalls to block incoming traffic.
Blocking outgoing blacklisted IP addresses would be ideal, but for starters I wonder if there is a way to see the outgoing packets from the cable modem.
We just purchased a ubr7246 to replace a C3 and can't seem to figure out how to bridge the cable interfaces (4xMC28U) with GiabitEthernet0/1 (Internet.) I would like to put the provisioning server on GigabitEthernet0/2 with an IP of 10.0.0.1/24. Customers will have a public IP on 50.206.3.x/24.
This configuration seemed so much easier on the C3.

We have an Arris C4 and have an issue with trying to get the CPE IP address from the CMTS via SNMP. We are using Promptlink for provisioning/monitoring.
CMTS SNMP setting allow access to all MIB's, but reading CPE IP information results in error response "No Such Instance currently exists at this OID".
I'm trying to setup a C4C for L2VPN but still doesn't works.
I've tried with various config file examples found on this forum without success.
Note that we use Arris Euro Docsis 3 Modem model CM820S with software version 7.5.55
CMTS software version is CMTS_V08.01.00.83
It's looks that my problem is not related to L2VPN but to BPI as when I add PrivacyEnable to a working CM config file without L2VPN the modem stuck
in "dhcpV4done" state and "Privacy=Initializing"
I was wondering if there are currently any non-commercial use Docsis/CMTS software/tools for purchase to use in a personal home network. I work with DocsisTools; ver 7.10.1 and was wondering is there similar software for home use? I think it would be very useful to know what my bonded channels are or to investigate my own LDAP Bootfile. Does any such software exist? Thank you
