Greetings! I am receiving the following error when I attempt to create a Modems per Upstream graph within Cacti. I am trying to graph all of our Modems per Upstream so that I can use THOLD to alert in the event of a node outage. Has anyone been successful in accomplishing this? Can you please share your setup?
Some of the InternetServiceProvider are tending to run out of public IPv4 addresses. So they switched there low budget accounts from public IPv4 to private IPv4. But this requires a Carrier Grade NAT machine. These routers seem to be rather big and expensive. So is there a way for smaller ISP?
Does anybody now a usful page to read into the topic? Someone realized it for docsis users?
Thank you.
What are other MSOs using for monitoring traffic on downstream service groups with channel bonding? We currently use Cacti but are looking at other solutions.
Monitoring the traffic requires aggregating each downstream channel when channel bonding which complicates the system setup.
I've recently purchased a small cable system - we are currently using IBBS BBX for provisioning. Since being purchased by Momentum Telecom, I'm not extremely happy with the level of service received. Also, they currently have our customer email accounts hosted on google apps for ISPs which is going away and will have to be migrated...I'm looking for a place to take those mailboxes..maybe my own server....
Hello. I am trying out my first CMTS solution. So my error may be trivial. I work with normal ethernet. All about CMTS and docsis and special dhcp configuration is new to me.
It is a Teleste DAH100 mini CMTS and the router is pfsense.
I'm looking for the last release for the SB3100 & SL-2810. I'm currently running SB3100-1.4.8.21-SCM02-NOSH.P7 on my SB3100's & 10.2.0 on the SL-2810's.
It would be nice if there was a repository for now unsupported hardware.
