downstream channel bonding traffic monitoring

What are other MSOs using for monitoring traffic on downstream service groups with channel bonding? We currently use Cacti but are looking at other solutions.

Monitoring the traffic requires aggregating each downstream channel when channel bonding which complicates the system setup.

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

All MSO I know use rrdtool

All MSO I know use rrdtool based solution also.
For your needs I suggest that you check at oss-iris solution "easydocsis".
This system consolidate necessary information from performance system (cacti), configuration of your CMTS with SNMP data collections and possibly topology knownledge from your SI.
This way you see automatically " downstreams bundle details/node(s)/upstreams bundle details" associations and status of your hubs.

This solution could be a good idea to control the status of your network or maybe you can get inspiration from it.

We do something similar -

We do something similar - combine the WB and NB interfaces with a template. It's not a bad way to go, we're just looking to see if there are better options.

cable-mac

On our side we use Arris CMTSs so we use the cable-mac which is the bonding group containing both upstreams and downstreams located in the group.
