1- Date
I don't understand why i have to put an offset of 9 on the timezone in my configuration.
I am in France and normally the UTC/GMT clock is 12 when 14 in France. So the offset should be 2.

Here is the config i have :

clock timezone france 9
clock summer-time france-ete recurring last Sun Mar 2:00 last Sun Oct 3:00
clock calendar-valid

Here is the response of sh clock at 14:56 :
7246#sh clock
14:56:30.446 france-ete Mon Jun 7 2010.

2- Where can i find a free MRTG for CMTS and cable modem ?

Have anyone configured traps on Arris 1500 and knows what must be configured besides standard access entry i nmaccess table?

After configuring access entry for traps, Arris 1000 sends traps and Arris 1500 doesn't.

Whats is this "attribute" of 80000000 means? For example

Where in the MIB tree is the 'set' for re-booting a modem via snmp? And what other criteria are required (if any) MIB-wise to do so?
I'm building a menu in SNMPc for modem management and it's getting cumbersome quickly -- mostly with tables and index entries that I'm not really interested in having to navigate through/around just to look at basic information and/or reboot a modem to update it, etc.

I have Motorola BSR 64000. I m trying to introduce PPPoE on my network.
I have two private networks (IP subnets). 1. User network behind BSR 64K that is on Cable network. The other network is my ISP setup. which includes my firewall . DHCP, DNS, TFTP etc.

Now i have kept PPPoE server on the ISP setup (2nd subnet). I m trying to dial from my CPE (behind BSR64K) to contact PPPoE server. My client sends PADI request. But i feel the request doesnt go through. Wireshark shows no response (NO PADO) from PPPoE server.

Now i have questions to above scenario:

Does anyone have any further info on upgrading these modems from 2.3.1.109.001 to possibly 2.3.2.108? There is a very old post on the board from 2007 that suggests that there maybe some sort of a required interim step for other releases that may do a bootrom upgrade.

I'm faily new to this cable business, therefore please bare with me if I make stupid questions :-)

I have a small cable network with 800 TV clients and I want to implement Internet in the network using a Arris C3 CMTS.

For this I'm looking for a system to make provisioning of the cable modems, make new clients and to generate the files for the cable modems.
We will not have more than max. 150 customers.

Can you recommend some kind of software for this or a provider who can deliver it?

I've been wondering how to enable DOCSIS 2.0 in a motorola SB5100 cable modem? I know that this device is able to reach 2.0. The question is due to I've been watching in our BSR2K that some of our devices are in DOCSIS 1.1 and despite of configuring the EnableDocsis2.0 parameter (on Vulture Docsis Editor), the cable modem still on 1.1 .

This makes me wonder about how a cable modem can be 2.0 if is only by hardware (I mean the cm is by default 2.0 ? the cmts recognizes automatically?) or if I have to configure it by some parameter that I'm not aware of?
