I've been wondering how to enable DOCSIS 2.0 in a motorola SB5100 cable modem? I know that this device is able to reach 2.0. The question is due to I've been watching in our BSR2K that some of our devices are in DOCSIS 1.1 and despite of configuring the EnableDocsis2.0 parameter (on Vulture Docsis Editor), the cable modem still on 1.1 .
This makes me wonder about how a cable modem can be 2.0 if is only by hardware (I mean the cm is by default 2.0 ? the cmts recognizes automatically?) or if I have to configure it by some parameter that I'm not aware of?

Has anybody succeeded in combining Cable Modem steering with Upstream Bonding ? I'm currently testing both Netgear and SA Docsis 3.0 modems with IOS 12.2.33(SCC3) and I cant seem to get it working right :|
I'm seeing modems registering as MTC-modems (/UB) with only one US (with two in the configured bonding group). If I remove the US attribute masks I can get the modems to register on both US's both there are serious dataloss issues (looks like all data sent on of of the upstreams is lost).
I have 5 uBR 7246s available - if you need. Please email me at sebp@bellsouth.net

We have a new batch of Arris MTAs, TM602B/DM, that we upgraded to SIP firmware v6. We are using them with a Cisco VXR 7246 , an asterisk server, and docsis_server 1.2.1 with a simple patch to return DHCP option 12 (the hostname).
The problem is that although the cable modem registers well, the MTA can take between 3 and 5 minutes, sometimes 20 to register.
We are using on the cable modem cm file SnmpMibObject arrisMtaDevProvMethodIndicator.0 Integer 4; /* gupi */.
As for our MTA file, I am including it bellow. Does anyone has any idea why it takes so long?
So I got past the web page problem. Found the mibs that needed to be set and now I have the "advanced" tab.
But now I'm in need of password of the day or the tool that generates it.
I can be emailed directly at proairpass at yahoo dot com

First I'm having trouble getting the MTA up. No DHCP activity after the server offer which leads me to believe that i have missing or incorrect offer options.
I have a basic lab setup everything on the same subnet.
GigE 0 192.24.10.95
Cable Modem 192.24.10.91
Defined IP bundle on CASA 192.24.10.5 (unassigned IP address)
DHCP/TFTP 192.24.10.8
DHCP works fine IP client 192.24.10.91 is assigned to the cable modem
TFTP is sent from 192.24.10.95 towards 192.24.10.8 but when the data is sent back the TFTP server cannot find the CM 192.24.10.91.
Trying to configure docsis_server 3.5 and having problems with the lack of documentation.
Also wanting to configure static IP addresses on the modems (I dont care the docs say they arent needed), and completely at loss in which manner and table I have to use them.
