Has anyone successfully implement IPv6 and their DOCSIS network? My company recently gets its IPv6 pool and I am struggling on how to start its implementation.
We use isc-dhcp to provision our CMs with private IPv4 addresses, then we use NAT in our Mikrotik router to get users to the Internet, but with IPv6 I imaging everything changes.
I am looking for firmware for the Arris 862 in packetcable or SIP form with a certificate that is not close to expire, currently have 9.1.103S5AN but looking for something that will allow me to use the phone ports. The PC20 + SIP versions I have expire in Sept 2021.
Please send to farewell4950@yahoo.com
Thanks
Problem Details:
Randomly modems will appear to be offline, one or two at a time all across the network all of the time. The modems come back online within a minute or two. There is no indication in the modem log file that it was offline, the modem does not lose RF signal. All of the modems have current certificates. This occurs even with modems that have "perfect" RF parameters. This problem started in early April at all 3 sites.
Two of the sites have Cisco 10Ks, one site has a Blonder Tongue CM3000. The modems are a verity of Cisco, Ruckus, Motorola and Zoom.
We noticed an message from one of our providers that on May 2021 we could
have problems with cable modems to complete BPI+ authentication. I attach information
How can I know which is the expiration date of the cable modem certificate?
I am working with a SEM v12 which has been in service about 8 years. Output 1A recently went to a low level which we added an amp to compensate. All the inputs come in through the GigE ports 1 & 2. But now a bunch of inputs (not all) stopped working on the GigE 2 input. Input status on those shows no data.
Got another unit used, configured it the same and No inputs show data in. Can not get the Enet2 port to open and show data either. The front panel output lights have no green or red indications either.
Hello all
there are several docsis3.0 and older CM out in the net with expiring Manufacturer's CA certificate within the next two years.
One of these are Thomson THG570 and THG571. (expire at 2022-12-12)
Does anybody know if Technicolor/Thomson will create a new firmware with a new cert?
Thank you
