Hello, World!
I am sure the world is asking this question. And I need your help so we can pass this knowledge on to the future forever. Here is the MOST FAQ of all time:
HOW MANY SUBSCRIBERS DOES THIS MODEM CARD (MC) SUPPORT?
(example MC: Cisco UBR-MC88V, Cisco UBR-MC20X20V-20D, Cisco UBR-MC3GX60V w/ 72DS/60US license)
Please only answer this question if you are an experience CMTS tech/Engineer only. Give us your best answer. Perhaps, we are asking the wrong question.
We have run into an issue where the router behind a cable modem can't renew its dhcp lease or loses it WAN ip address. Some of our techs have figured out that they can just unplug and reconnect the ethernet cable that runs between the modem and the CPE router and the router will instantly grab an IP and be online. We used to reboot the modems and the routers but recently our guys have been trying this and it seems to work. Arris and our provisioning software company aren't much help. Has anybody run into anything like this?
Cisco-uBR10000#show cable modem
D
MAC Address IP Address I/F MAC Prim RxPwr Timing Num I
State Sid (dBmv) Offset CPE P
7896.84e7.a8ad 0.0.0.0 C5/0/0/U3 init(d) 7 0.00 1656 0 N
It was working before and am assuming i have deleted the Bundle or something.
I made a config with 20x20V-20D + SPA24XDS without TC1000. 25DSx8US bonding. It works fine.
I want to made it with MC5x20 + SPA24XDS card too.
All DS and US bonding group is OK, everething looks fine, but the modem after a reject(na) state starts again to search the DS and after the the CM is online only in 1x1 without any bonding.
5x20 is in the 5/1 slot. SPA24XDS is in the 1/0/0 slot.
Hi Everyone,
As title, I test this for video stream on ip layer. But I can't watch video stream through vlc client. Below is my test topology:
windows server 2008(vlc server) - CMTS C2200 - Cable modem(bridge mode) - windows 7(vlc client)
I played a video stream on vlc server. Does any configuration need on CMTS C2200 ?
Many thanks.
I want to know if any of you have presented problems with the version of DHCPd version 4.1.1 of ISC Since I have a laboratory with it but it does not assign an ip address to my modem at the moment I have it configured in the following way. taking into account that I use a CISCO Ubr7240XVR.
The specifications of my server are>
Operating system CentOS Linux 6.5
Webmin version 1.680
Kernel and CPU Linux 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64 on x86_64
