Hi all,

I have a problem where my emtas are stuck with the status "Telephony-Reg with Call Server" and since the outside SIP provider is used, I would like to get some more information about the situation. I have set the value SnmpMibObject enterprises.4115.10.1.3.0 IPAddress IP to my server which is running Syslog server. Now I have no idea what to do to get some more detailed information into my syslog server.

If anyone already did this, I would be very grateful for some more information.

we have problem with provisioning SA EPC2302 modem. We use docsis_server as dhcp/tftp solution, and everything works with Motorola SBV5121E.

Problem occurs when we try initial communication with dhcp server. DHCP offers first IP and modem requests that addres from server but server than claim that adress is bad and offers another address. After that modem accept second IP but cannot doasn't proceed with MTA part. Also from cmts we cannot ping that modem trough IP.

I've included wireshark capture, dhcp config and logg (remove .txt part).

Can multiple classes be pointed to the flow? For example: If one wanted to give e-mail (110 & 25) the same flow as web (80). Also, if you have a downstream classifier, do you need to have one for upstream or will it just default to the default upstream flow?

First time poster looking for some detailed information on how to manage dynamic bandwidth with DOCSIS 1.1. I'll try and be as specific as I can as I need some pointers. I have a Cisco DOCSIS1.0 network and I can dynamically change the QoS profile of a connected modem, works very well and without the need to reboot the cable modem, however these are fixed profiles configured on the CMTS. I would like to mimic this control using DOCSIS 1.1/2.

... and the wall is winning. We're just attempting to get a basic setup going. Got things working
just fine with the all-in-one lab setup on the uBR with a 6 foot network, so sorta know what we're
doing, sorta? Maybe?

So now we're trying some approaches like this on a CentOS box with ISC DHCPD to
see what kind of trouble we can get into.....

Is it possible to link a cm to a VLAN in config file ?

Now I do it in the CMTS with this straight in my BSR2000:
BSR200(config)#bridge cable modem xxxx.xxxx.xxx 15

cm mac xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
VLan: 15

We have an BSR2K and for a while it was good. About 15 days ago, the cmts turned on the ALM led and blocked. We turned off the device and disconnected from network and replaced for a BSR1K backup. About 3 days ago we turned on and it was good for 40min aprox. but the ALM led tuned on again despite I have access to CLI. The rare thing is that 6 hours later, the ALM led turned off without any reason.

I erase the startup config and from yesterday no ALM at all have been displayed.

So, what could be the reason for this? is possible that the BSR2K failing?
