Hi all...This is my first topic and i would like to discuss about this interesting problem that is happening to me.On Interface 5/1 i have some modems which are since 3 days ago in init(rc) state. Here is the cfg from Linecard 5/1:
We have ARRIS TM402G modems that were used strictly as data modems until now. Now, we have launched VOIP. To get access to the latest SIP firmware and support, we bought a few new modems from ARRIS and got access to their portal that provide the latest SIP images. That has worked fine for us so far but we have come across a new problem which the ARRIS site cannot resolve for us.
Would like to know if we have any certification exam for DOCSIS technology which is recogonised universally. If anyone has detail, please share it across
i need help to create firewall-rules for a cable modem over the config-file of the cm (snmp-sets)
the rules what i need are:
- enable dhcp, dns requests
- allow all traffics to a unique ip-address.
- allow all traffic to a ip-network range
- deny all other traffics
i try some configurations but it doesn't work. maybe i don't understand how it work. have someone a idea where i can get more information about this issue?
I'm having an issue our local system. CMTS is a 7246VXR, IOS ubr7200-ik8su2-mz.123-23 running an NPE400, 1 active of 4 installed cards (all cards are MC16C) ~350 active modems on the system. DHCP / DNS / TFTP system is CNR v5.5.13
I'm having sbg900, 901, and 940 model modems (perhaps any model, but these are the ones i can confirm) drop offline for a few minutes at a time, and then coming back on. This doesn't seem to be happening plant wide, or at least not vocally by customers. Ive looked into the logs of modems that I know are being affected, and this is what I am seeing:
I have a BSR2000 with a lit yellow alarm/alert indicator.
Is there any way to find out what the alarm is for ?
What commands do I use to see the alarm condition ?
