I have a DOCSIS3 CMTS with standard US 6 MHz channels. Is there any reason why I couldn't set up my down streams to
10 MHz Euro DOCSIS channels to gain more bandwidth ? We are testing IPTV and I would think the extra 4 MHz/channel
would be helpful as we get more usage.
I have a fundamental question on routing in a CMTS. (E.g BSR64000/CISCO CMTS)
Where do the ROUTING protocols run? Is it on the network side or CPE side?
If it is on network side, what is the need for routing since default gateway would be ISP router?
If it is on CPE side I am again not clear why routing would be reqd. ?
Is it possible for routers to be connected behind a CM?
I welcome all administrators. I have CMTS Juniper G1 and today a hard disk was just damaged in this device, I know how to mention the disk on new but needs recowery software. The previous disk was damaged has bad sectors. I am calling for help.
Hello,
I have noticed serious problems with my system.
I have a Cisco uBR7246VXR CMTS with 4x MC-16S (6US-1DS) cards. (Only one is been used)
Im looking for someone very experienced with this equipment that can verify the configuration and help
me find what my problem is.
I am experiencing instability in my system,
Cable Modems network gets connected but they like flashing all the time while surfing.
I have been doing tests for days without results, need to fix this soon!
Start application from FLASH:
Booting image appImage_100P4904TRCU.bin
ataFileGet: read error!
doAppImageValidate: can not get flash (ata) appImage appImage_100P4904TRCU.bin!
cmtsDecompExtApp: doAppImageValidate failed for file appImage_100P4904TRCU.bin
No valid application image on compact flash
I have the bin file on a TFTP server, and would like to recopy it to the BSR2000. How would I set up the boot parameters to do this?
Trying to configure all-in-one cmts. Everything works, but cable modems can't fully load webpages. It is acting like an MTU problem, but I've thrown every MTU setting at it and still pages load slow. I don't know if it is an MTU problem or a cable card config problem. Levels look good on cable plant. Modems come up connect via PPPoE very fast.
