I have a node that is having a strange problem. All upstream levels are fluctuating constantly. These are anywhere from 5-10 db fluctuations. We have replaced all jumpers, splitters, combiners etc. in the headend. We have also changed lasers and fiber jumpers and took traces of the fiber from headend to node. All seem to be fine. The node type is an Antec LXR400 Gemini 870Mhz. I don't see any noise on the return path. I've isolated each leg off of the node also. The problem appears on all legs. If anyone has any idea I would be most grateful.
I'm in need of the latest firmware image and manufacturer CVC for the Motorola SB6120 series modems. We're an Arris shop with C4c CMTS's and we stock Arris 2.0 and 3.0 modems for our customers. However we recently turned on upstream channel-bonding and now there's a handful of customer-owned SB6120's with older firmware that won't sync up to the bonded upstreams. I know it's firmware because there are a bunch with a later version that are working fine and bonded 4x4.
Hello all,
I am new to docsis domain and I do have some basic quetions on QOS like,
what is service flow?
what is service class?
whats the difference between flow and class?
what DCS(downstream channel set)?
what is SSC?
I'm trying to disable docsis 2.0 (tlv 39 = 0) in my Cisco ubr7246vxr for all motorola modems?
There appears to be a MIB to set this as well, 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.19.3.1.25 (with a value of 0 for D2 off) but I cannot figure out how to implement either way on the CMTS (all-in-one config)? Searches on google and forums got me to figure out the problem (can't implement aTDMA with equipment- mixed mode)
We got a new CMTS with MC28U with two downstream ports and due to scarcity of downstream frequency we need to use only one downstream port for all 8 Upstream ports. Is there any way to do it. Till now, we only 4 upstream ports up at time.
Dear All,
We have upgraded our network via Cuda12000. In Cuda 12000, we have two Controller cards so we would like to configure one as primary and other as secondary. At this moment, both are plugged and showing primary on front led.
Jinghong company is a private shareholding enterprise founded in 1999, located at the Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. Focusing on TRIPLE PLAY field, we specialized in DOCSIS technology applications in broad band networking services.
I am wondering is it possible for the DOCSIS CMTS layer to process multiple packets simultaneously?
The reason I am asking is as follows:
I am using the OPNET simulation packet to computer simulate the DOCSIS network. In this simulation I am trying to determine the inter arrival time of packets and there appears to be a problem.
