This may be relevant to few if any, but in testing an upcoming upgrade to the time server for our RPDs/iNodes we realized that RHEL 9 (and subsequently our current choice, AlmaLinux) dropped xinetd from the available packages. I have one tricky question:

I would like to run a PNM test over a whole upstream Interface but i'm not quite sure how to approach to this?

Have one modem that doesn't transmit on correct US TX level.

The modem is only transmitting at 34.5 and the RX on cmts is -9.
The modem is supposed to adjust its transfer levels up until US RX is 0, but it doesnt.
What can be the cause of this? Faulty modem?

I'm testing disabling the MTA portion of EMTA modem devices, to keep the MTA portion from hammering my DHCP server. I've setup a pool for these and assign them an IP, which calms it down, but I'm wondering if I can disable the MTA portion from my mta config file.

Currently I'm on search of some wisdom.

I need to know via snmp to which ofdma interface a certain cable modem is connected to by providing the
mac address alone ( if that makes sense):

for example mac address A:B:C:D

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.127.1.3.3.1.5.(cm_index) = sc if_index

I thought this will do but it returns the SC upstream index only, I need the same but for ofdma.

thanks a lot in advance if any colleague has some idea to achieve this.

I'm trying to setup a old (new for us) system that is replacing C9 and D3 boxes. This setup includes a TC1000, UBR10012, and a Harmonic NSG9000-40G.

I'm getting a Socket CMTS-Depi Source Failure on the NSG9000. I searched the internet for this error and found it on this forum. Unfortunately, nothing in the thread guided me to a fix for the issue. The IOS side says the DEPI session is established and I can change things like powerlevel from IOS and it shows up in the NSG. The NSG gets the information and configures the channels, but the error won't go away.

I've got some systems where the log has too many pktcb_daemon and ipdr with ip's but the chassis isn't configured for for either.
in the past with other cmts's I could simply config no logging (whatever) and it wouldn't show in the log, just cli commands run and events.
an example would be appreciated.
