We use about 5 different types of cable modems on our systems. Does anybody have a nice neat way of updating firmwares via tftp without screwing up other modems? I update my Arris tm502Gs like this:
Does someone can use a modem Webstar Scientific Atlanta (Cisco) EPR2320 (modem with wifi)? If so, could someone send me their configuration files. I need to configure for WEP, channel, etc.
Any help will be appreciated.
How can I give full bandwidth access on my locally hosted ftp server to my cable modem users and when they access internet bandwidth they should get their allocated bandwidth.
I'm setting up a ubr7223 using 1.1. I want to use a 2.0 modem that is backwards compatible, just in case we go to a 2.0 capable cmts in the future. I'm going to try using Docsis_Server first.
Are all modems created equal? Will all brands work with Docsis_server? Are there any brands that should be avoided? Will they all do NAT?
I have a uBR7223 with two old cards (MC-11 and MC-14C), NPE-200 and 20 MB ATA Flash. I'm running IOS 12.2(8)T8 and am experincing some bugs, the worst of which is that sometimes the IOS "forgets" to include option 82 in relayed DHCP packets, which is how our provisioning of client IPs works.
I've contacted two Cisco dealers here in Bulgaria, both say that platform is already EOL and EOS, and that there are only 12.3 IOSes available for the UBR7200 platform, which are (1) too big for our ata flash and (2) do not support the MC11 for sure, I think the MC-14C too.
i tried to install Quelea, to test it and try it.. but i have a lot of problems with perl, i got a syntax error and cant get it installed...
Any one success to install? http://jhthorsen.github.com/quelea/
thanks
I'm setting up a Docsis 1.1 uBR7223 on a small rural catv plant. We're using 25 channels for TV (2-25) and our bandwidth is about 230Mhz. Without losing any TV channels, which frequency can I use for Downstream? Which is known to work best and do any of these require FCC or FAA permits/reporting? What do I need to look out for?
Hi
When I type in the C3 scm x.x.x.x detail I have the last 4 lines that say :
Total US Data : xxxx packets, xxxxxxx bytes
Total US Throughput : x bits/sec, x packets/sec
Total DS Data : xxxx packets, xxxxxxx bytes
Total DS Throughput : x bits/sec, x packets/sec
I need to know if its possible to get the values "Total US Throughput" and "Total DS Throughput" using SNMP or I must calculate them.
We are using cisco cnr version 7 and have always used inneoquest compbination ta's and cable modems. We have gotten a batch of arris modems and our phone provider says we need to point them to there provisioning server use option 122 in the dhcp server.
It's a nice modem. Wireless, 4 port ethernet for home networking and two phone jacks.
Problem is it doesn't stay online. finds downstream, locks on upstream does the dhcp, gets a basic or bpi file (tried bare bone and bpi, bpi+). goes online and few minutes later it goes offline and starts all over again. Haven't done a capture yet. tried to log into the modem to get the log files, but doesn't stay on long enough, also search for docs on the modems point me to Cisco, but searches there only give me info for routers and switches, not cable modems.
