At the moment we are using SAMIS for usage accounting data/IPTV/VoIP etc. However the 15minute minute delay between samples is unacceptable. A lot can happen in 15minutes.
I have written a simple script to telnet to a CMTS and execute commands to grab subscriber details etc. Which is a hell of alot more efficient and faster than SAMIS. It takes about 5 seconds to telnet to a cmts, and fetch the counters and service flow details for every mac on a heavily loaded uBR10K cmts (close to 30K subscribers).
So far the commands that I am using and have discovered.

My Cable Modem is Motorola SURFboard® Cable Modem SB4200 (It's DOCSIS® 1.0 and 1.1 CableLabs® Certified)
when the CMTS UBR7114 is configured to manage all the service (ToD, TfTp, DHCP, SYSLOG) all work. I cam browse internet web pages.
Now i'm Download and install version 2.0.4 of docsis_server on my CentOS 5.3 server and reconfigure the CMTS.

We are trying to implement a corporate solution in our company, and we need to guarantee service agreement to costumers. We have read about the DQOS lite on BSR 64000, and it seems to be a good solution for our needs, our problem is that we don't know how to implement this feature over our system. Does anyone have some experience on DQOS lite? , Does anybody have a configuration example of this feature?.
We do however how a large number of 7246VXRs with either NPE-400 CPU cards or C-series cable cards which does not support the new features. Does anybody have some solid tips on providing higher bandwidth on the older Cisco Cable cards ?
I have BSR 64000 installed & have 10.60.128.0/22 pool (approx 8000 IP) for inside internet users. I have Cisco Router 3845 with 256 MB memory where i do NAT with Public IP (i have pool of /24 - 256 Public IPs). Unfortunately Cisco Router memory gets overused & 3845 Router hangs. Can i shift NAT on my BSR 64000 & terminate ISP on BSR GigE port directly ?
Pl guide how to do NAT directly on BSR 64000.
We are a small ISP providing internet over our cable network. actualy we give the provisioning an system management to an external company. Our problem is that we do not have access to any tool from that company. We whant to take control over our network and we need help to start.

Is a kerberos server absolutely necessary in a DOCSIS1.1/PacketCable/VoIP deployment using a CM/MTA like an Arris? What does it do for you? Is there someting (pdf/doc) that explains it's use?
Is there any way to obtain a measurement of the downstream BER or MER with a cable modem, without using a QAM analyzer/tester?
The Cisco uBR900s are reporting always 0, and they say in the docs it does not report this value. Are there any SNMP MIBS for obtaining pre/post-FEC error rates?
as many of you here before I am also having some problems with getting eMTA to work. I can successfully get the CM part working (I am using docsis utility to generate it), but I have some problems getting the MTA part to start.
