DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS

I have a DOCSIS3 CMTS with standard US 6 MHz channels. Is there any reason why I couldn't set up my down streams to
10 MHz Euro DOCSIS channels to gain more bandwidth ? We are testing IPTV and I would think the extra 4 MHz/channel
would be helpful as we get more usage.

Thanks,
BP

First, the euro channels are 8 MHz wide. You are correct, it will give you more throughput for each channel but requires more channel space if thats an issue at all. It's somewhat difficult to procure Euro modems here in the US assuming of course you are here. There are some modems available that are universal in that they recognize both NA and Euro annex types but you have to specifically look for this as an option.

I was involved with an IPTV project where we used Euro modems on purpose for a cruise ship effort just for the added channel/bw capacity.

CASA ?

Didn't I see where you used a CASA for that? We cant seem to get 3 IPs to our set top
We got it to work with a DOCSIS 2 modem, but only one model SB5100. No luck with
any other modem.
