I've a doubt about the possibility to configure a UBR10k (PRE2 + 4x MC5x20) and RFGW-1 EQAM. I would like to configure two nodes with 8DS each (16DS in total) exclusively from the RFGW, so we will use the US from the MC5x20 LC and 16 DS from RFGW, no DS will be used on LC. Is this possible ? How could I adapt actual config. (attached) to achieve such configuration ?
Hello,
being new in HFC network and DOCSIS world, I was wondering if there is a way to assign to CMs IPs form different pool of addresses based on different locations in a HFC network.
More specific: we have a CMTS with an external DHCP attached to a HFC distribution network. For troubleshooting purpose I would like creating pool of address for each specific location (subnetting) and have CMs assigned an IP address based on the location where they are. That would make my life easier to detect the location of a faulty CM in the network.
We are using ubr7246 with MC28 card. We would like to use docsis 3 cable modem, because our provider can't feed us with docsis 1. I or docsis 2.0 capable. I know we can use them easier on 1 channel like a docsis 1 cable-modem.
How can we do that ? I'm using the config file in the ubr7246 for cable-modem config. like the example below.
There is the config example we using for docsis 1 cable modem, but seem to doesnt work on docsis 3 cable modem.
I have a Motorola BSR1000 CMTS and i use a linux provisioning server made for me, the problem is when the cable modem is online use all bandwidth available, the cable modem had configured in dhcp server with a binary file with 512kbps download/upload, but what can be doing this issue?
my server is Ubuntu Server 12.04 Lts and i have a http redirection with squid3 transparent proxy, where i redirect the http connections to port 3128
I have a CMTS with MC88V linecard, which have activated 2 DS's and 4 channels on each DS. the DS's are seperated in the RF part. so i use the same frequency channels on both DS's.
I was wondering if any of you could help me with an OID in which you can specify an US Index and it could give you back a list of CM connected to it.
I have been looking over some options, but I only saw OIDs that return a list of all CMs with its associate US interface. I only need the CMs of the US interface I specified.
I didn't see a thread anywhere pertaining to this. I am hoping that someone may be able to help me out. I have a Cornerstone CMTS 1000 that will not boot. The LED panel just displays the "flashing lines" like it is booting. I have tried the hardware reset by pressing the Up and Select buttons. I have tried holding the Down and Up buttons to try to get it to load the older firmware. I have tested the memory, all with no avail. Does anyone have any other thoughts? Maybe it is a brick at this point? Thanks in advance for any help/info.
