I just want to know if there is any article I can read about capacity planning in DOCSIS networks. I'm mostly interested to know if there are mathematical models or frameworks to project our access networks capacity (that will help us to know where a new equipment will be necessary). Any advice will be gladly received. I have found this paper:
I try to get a SBV6120E MTA "PacketCable 1.0 EMTA HW_REV: 1.0; VENDOR: Motorola Corporation; BOOTR: PSPU-Boot(BBU) 1.0.1.7-m3; SW_REV: SBV6XXX-1.0.3.1-SCM-01-CBNGA02-SHPC; MODEL: SBV6120E "
with NCS/MGCP online. It is just for a test setup in our lab with Asterisk and the MGCP-Patch.

I'm trying to make motorola MTA works. the modems get's online and get the SIP update i have. but cant get the MTA online.
My Scientific Atlanta modems works fine.
In logs i don't have any thing for the motorola's, also in motorola logs have nothing about the MTA part.
Maybe someone can help:
Which SNMP OID can i use, when i would read the Docsis 3.0-s cm's US SNR's?
At Docsis 2.0 cm, the oid is docsIfCmtsCmStatusSignalNoise (1.3.6.1.2.1.10.127.1.3.3.1.13)
but at Docsis 3.0 cm this not work.
May be that there is no other solution, than 'show cable modem phy' cmts command output?
Thank you.
