Like my title said, I'm completly brand new on Docsis network distribution. I was a wISP, DSL, security guy, I'm CCNA, CSSA, Redline RCSP, future DCAP and I've more than 15 years experience in networking, but only 1 week on Docsis network distribution.
Is the first time I post in this forum. I am quite new with docsis and I am getting some issues with Scientific Atlanta MTAs.
We have a SIP gateway with voicemail, and the clients using this kind of MTAs can't choose between the option because I think their MTAs doesn't send the DTMF tones. I have been looking for the MIBs to enable them but I don't find it.
I am very new to this Docsis technology and i want to learn more new things regarding this technology. Please advice and need full on support.
I have Moto-BSR 2000 CMTS, where i need to configure the same and test within my network, could anyone help with the setup and configuration file details through mail, it would be very great full to you I am very eager to know and run on this technology.

I would configure Arris 1500 cmts and Motorola SB5101i, plan connection:
Router -- CMTS1500 -- SB5101i -- PC. I read both Arris 1500 and SB5101i not support IPv6.
If the router assigned IPv6, can it system work?
Is it possible to configure CMTS & SB5101i as bridge in IPv4 and Client PC get IPv6 from Router?
I would hear from the forum, your idea in order to implement IPv6 in DOCSIS 1.1.

I am new to the docsis world, but have been in networking since the late 80's, so I'm a total novice.
I am involved with my first Docsis project and am in process of manually creating my own config files on my Cisco 7200 CMTS. Other than a few examples here and there, I cant find a reference sheet or website that has a list of the possible Cable modem config file parameters.
I searched around this forum as well and believe I am simply not putting the correct search parameters in.
I would like to create a configuration file where i set an static IP and mask for the cable modem

I need some assistance trying to get DS channel bonding working on a Cisco 7225VXR. I have a few modems online and functioning properly but I can't seem to get the modem to lock on the other 3 DS using channel bonding. From what I've read I think everything is configured properly. This is my first 3.0 attempt. Were looking to deploy 3.0 later this year and would like to get some testing/breaking completed before we have to deploy. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. One other question is, are there any special requirements in the modem config file to tell it to use channel bonding?
