Hello guys! my name is Victor . I´m a apprentice on cmts, cablemodems and I´ll would want to know if someone can get me a hand to config proper this devices, thanks.
I am trying to increase tftp firmware download speeds to the modem.
Does the tftp download speeds depend on Class of Service, upstream Max, Downstream Max provided to modem or is the tftp download speed a separate from it? So far I see the following constraints that could affect tftp speed.
We have a very old Nortel 100 CMTS here that we use for testing some of outr products. It has been running forever so I have not had todo muc of anything to it....that is until the other day when I saw the attached screen shot with the following error:
Just curious if any of you guys on here, know of company that we would contract out to help maintain our underground cable plant... We're located in South West Virginia. We prefer a company close to our location... with in VA, WVA, or NC.
If we need help troubleshooting and balancing our system is the main concern. (cable, amps, trunk amps, SNR balancing, power levels)
I'm struggling trying to solve an issue with customers whose CPE are open resolvers. I can solve/mitigate this problem via ACL on our routers, CMTS' or even firewalls, but none of those allow our L1 techs to apply or remove the restrictions.
The open resolvers on our network are resulting in our caching DNS servers participating in amplification attacks.
I have a UBR7246 VXR and two MC28U cards. I have the modems ranging and my provisioning server does not see the requests coming from the modems. I am unsure what I have wrong. Any help would be great. This is my first time configuring a UBR. Here is a sample of my config.
Without going into too much detail, we have a fairly simple setup with a fairly confusing issue. We are running a uBR10k to a Nexus 3548 and that to an APEX3k for our M-CMTS solution. We have 8x 3G60s running via fiber to the Nexus, then a single 10G fiber from the Nexus to the APEX3k. Every now and then, we actually drop our DEPI tunnels. Random tunnels, random times, and no help from the logs.
I am trying to have the device status page enabled for viewing across the RF interface/IP address. Right now, it is only viewable on the ethernet interface.
