Just curious if any of you guys on here, know of company that we would contract out to help maintain our underground cable plant... We're located in South West Virginia. We prefer a company close to our location... with in VA, WVA, or NC.
If we need help troubleshooting and balancing our system is the main concern. (cable, amps, trunk amps, SNR balancing, power levels)
I'm struggling trying to solve an issue with customers whose CPE are open resolvers. I can solve/mitigate this problem via ACL on our routers, CMTS' or even firewalls, but none of those allow our L1 techs to apply or remove the restrictions.
The open resolvers on our network are resulting in our caching DNS servers participating in amplification attacks.
I have a UBR7246 VXR and two MC28U cards. I have the modems ranging and my provisioning server does not see the requests coming from the modems. I am unsure what I have wrong. Any help would be great. This is my first time configuring a UBR. Here is a sample of my config.
Without going into too much detail, we have a fairly simple setup with a fairly confusing issue. We are running a uBR10k to a Nexus 3548 and that to an APEX3k for our M-CMTS solution. We have 8x 3G60s running via fiber to the Nexus, then a single 10G fiber from the Nexus to the APEX3k. Every now and then, we actually drop our DEPI tunnels. Random tunnels, random times, and no help from the logs.
I am trying to have the device status page enabled for viewing across the RF interface/IP address. Right now, it is only viewable on the ethernet interface.
Dear Sir, I really need help for my final project. I want to simulate a simple DOCSIS network and analyse the performance with different service (ftp/voice/video) in OPNET modeller 14.1, is there anyone familiar with OPNET? how can i configure DOCSIS with those service in OPNET?
Thank you for your attention
Regards,
Shinta
We recently upgraded a CMTS1000 to a Arris C3, After the upgrade I have noticed the modems will not following the service class bandwidth rules. Example, a customer modem cfg file is set for 5Mbps but when checking throughput I see levels allowed in excess of 25Mbps. Below is the config off the C3.....Thanks in advance.

I don't have or ever used one.. Been trying to help someone who does. they tell me it's configured via a web page and it's self provisioning with a single downstream and upstream port. Is there a way to get a show run or show tech from these things? Can't see how it's docsis certified with internal dhcp/tftp server..
Thanks in advance for your feedback
And I'm able to capture traffic when I use non-bonding downstream but when I've a modem on bonded DS the same configuration didn't work and can't capture anymore the traffic.
