What are the open source security tools and user friendly for cable modem, plz guide me. So that I can use in my project for ARRIS modem.
This tolls should help to crash a modem or can hack other credentials or SNMP attack. This help I need for testing of ARRIS modem only. I don't want to misuse of it.

I am not a hacker, I am the employee of ARRIS, Bangalore Team,India. To explore myself in security tool, I asked this above question for help.

Looking for actual CMTS screen shots of CLI output to the command above.

What typical info is returned in the output, just RF related or what? Is output different for D3.0 modems since they are bonded compared with D2.0 products?

Have anybody some Thomson MIBs? Can't find anywhere. In particular, these ones:

thomson-cablemodem-20041118.mib
2.0_ST52_04_03_mibs.mib
thomson-broadband-usb.mib

I still need a little help to know what happennig here.
My 3 CABLE MODEMS (FOR TEST) still not getting the CFG/BIN file.
Bellow do you can see a little from my settings.

CMTS: MOTOROLA BSR-64000HD
DHCPd/ToD/TFTPd: Centos 6.7 is working fine.

I'm testing 2 Cables With docsis 3.0 and one with 2.0

No one grab the file from TFTP.

I can ping all ip address from inside the CMTS.

What i forgot? routing problem?

we have some AVM Fritzbox Cable 6340, 6360, 6490 in our lab for testing. Unfortunately we do not have the Vendor SNMP-Mibs from AVM for these models. Has anyone got them available? If so, it would be great if someone could mail them to:

We have Cisco UBR10k12 with about 6k subscribers on it (DOCSIS 2.0) and we want to measure/control internal traffic between subscribers. Our config files already shaping with 8M down 1M up, but we need information how much traffic is generating inside the CMTS. And we need this info by modem.

Can somebody guide me how to test the following below testcase for TG2472/NA:
Recovery from TFTP Max Retires exceeded

I am doing by the bellow way:

When I am upgrading or downgrading one build, at that time I am stopping the TFTP server in 3CDaemon tool or in the DHCP server incognito I am giving one wrong IP in the TFTP server name instead of my ip.So is it the correct way to test the above TC.

In the CMTS global configuration "cable modem max-cpe 10"
I configured in the CM configuration file "MaxCPE 1" (some regulatory issues)

The CM must have 1 and only 1 CPE behind the CM (simultaneously)
But the customer can change the CPE behind the CM.

Do I must reset the CM ?
How can I do that without resting the CM ?
How can I have 1 active CPE ?
