I need some help here. I'm trying to take a crash course in PacketCable and eMTA's to get dial-tone ASAP. I'll explain what I know and some of what I need to know so maybe someone can help. This is my task, all weekend until I get dial-tone. Here we go:

Plant Info:

* We are running 2 uBR7246VXR's using Cisco Network Registrar (CNR) as our DHCP and TFTP servers. Using Windows 2003 Servers for DNS, email, www, etc...
* We just received 100 Arris TM602G's and we are using Knology for our turn-key VOIP solution.

we have just set up the Docsis-Server 3.5 and we cannot get the CM to sent a DHCP Ack. CM are stuck in dhcp(o). We are using:

Is is any way? Tftp, snmp?
I would like to access tab's like mta, spoof mac address (in nat) or remotly set wireless parametrs.

Hi all,

I am currently experiencing some issue with my 50meg cable service from virgin media. I have noticed that it's currently on BPI Initialization and doesn't change. I have a vague idea of what BPI is, but why would it fail or simply not get passed BPI Initialization.

For more infomation, prior to this I have experienced constant intermitent loss of service and packet loss.

Hello, I have Motorola SVG2500E with SIP firmware i I can't force mta to work.
Modem gets good (I think) dhcp 122 option's, MTA is trying to get IP but it's no ACK from modem :/.
What can be wrong?
It's my 122 option dump:

i have recently done Master in Computer Science. One of my friend has cable tv network in pakistan. Please see the attachments. which has the existing network diagram. we have 7 sub offices. now we want provide internet facility to our customers. the amount of customers is round about 10000. initially we want to start with some hundreds of users. and then we will go on as the users incerases. i am reading about HFC networks for 1 month. i want to know how we can start this project. what will be feasible for us by cost and performance. what kind of cmts we should use.

I've searched to no avail...

Can someone email me or attach (not paste in body) a sample VOIP (PacketCable) config file? I just want to see a sample file...

We will have a uBR10k, using Arris 602's, and Cisco CNR for provisioning.

What am i missing here......when running an snmpwalk the modems are returning time and date as "unset". I am using a nortel cmts 1000 and motorola 4100 cable modems at each property.....do i need to recheck my cm config files?

Hello all,

The Motorola dch3416 is a dual tuner DVR, digital set-top box and a DOCSIS cable modem. I am a SMATV operator. Does anybody have any idea where I would start to look for a way to program/provision this device? It's time the little guys used the big boys toys. This stuff can't be rocket science. Also, there is a cable card slot in the back for provisioning. I'm thinking of going all digital and this device can get me there. Any ideas and/or help would be appreciated.
