I am having trouble on cable modems that should bond 8 DS and 4 US.
The connect as a D2.0, so only 1 DS and 1 US.
I am using CASA C10G CMTS with QAM_8x96 as Downstream Linecards.
The same modems work fine if connected to other CMTS that uses DS_8x8 linecard.
What is confusing me more is that another CM capable to bond up to 16 DS , bonds all the DS and US.
In the MAC Domain i have configured :
....
downstream channel bonding
upstream channel bonding
....
same as in the service group .

Endrit
there's more than just the docsis-mac. can you post the show run (minus ip addresses and passwords) for review?
Hi ,
We have exchanged emails before, so i sent you there the configuration.

Hi, did you have RCP Verbose and Fragmentation enabled? If you have no static Bonding-Groups configured you should have RCP Verbose/Fragmentation enabled.
You can find it via show running command:
CMTS# show run | include rcp
cable mdd rcp fragment support
cable mdd rcp verbose support
Also you can debug the registration of the cable modem to take a look into the Registration Request and the CM capabilities (TLV5):
debug cable mac-address hhhh.hhhh.hhhh
debug cable registration
debug cable verbose
debug cable tlv
logging debugging
clear cable modem hhhh.hhhh.hhhh reset
to disable the debug output:
no logging
To disable the debug:
no debug all

So it seems that the CM somehow don't like the RNG-RSP:
In your logs:
CM Initialization Reason(57): 07
and one time:
CM Initialization Reason(57): 10
CM-SP-MULPIv3.0-C01-171207, "Table C–3 - Initialization Reasons and Codes" said Init-Code 7 == REG_RSP_NOT_OK and Init-Code 10 == TCS_FAILED_ON_ALL_US
Don't blame me for the usual question: You have the latest firmware on the cable modem and CMTS as well?
It's a little tricky. I propose also a look into the CLI of the cable modem. Maybe you'll find some good hints on the diagnostic outputs on the cable modem.
Sorry for no better hints.
Hi wittmann,
It's a bit confusing to me because the same modems on another C10G system using QAM_8x8 & UPS_16x4 & SMM_2x10G with Docsis-MAC configuration up to 24 DS works fine.
While now i am using C10G system, QAM_8x96 & UPS_16x4 & SMM_8x10G the problem occurs.
I dont't know if i have the latest software but it's the latest from what i got.
I also tried the same image that i use on a working C10G but still no success.
Edit*
Below are ther Cable modem logs :

What you can do is to compare the MDD output between DS8x8 and DS8x96 channels.
For your system with the example of the DS8x96:
show cable mdd msg downstream 2/0/0
Maybe you'll find a difference (missing TLV, whatever) between the MDD messages between DS8x8 and DS8x96 which leads you to a new track.
Best regards
Ok, i will look on to that.
Thank you for your time guys @wittmann & @cmcaldas.
Regards,

There is an update to this issue.
I used SMM_2x10G instead of SMM_8x10G and the modems bonded normally.
