I am new to DOCSIS and CMTS. We have a CMTS at work.
We have been asked to perform a ranging test on cable modems.
Can you briefly explain what ranging is so that a novice like myself can understand it? Right now the CMTS only has 1 Upstream and 1 Downstream.
Hi all,
I'm start with CMTS
I have one CMTS 7246vrx With 2 linecard MC 28, In now I want config 1 Downstream suppor for 8 Upstream. Is there any way to do it ?
I'm very familiar with Arris CMTSs and I love the command "modem activity cmmacaddress all" Is there a similar command on a Cisco UBR7246 that will give the same result. It's just so easy to diagnose connection problems when the CMTS is spitting data all over the console.
Im currently developing an OpenSource software solution for provisioning and monitoring a CMTS, specifically for the BW3200 (for now), and I need some help in getting the information for the CMs via snmp. For example SNR values, traffic counters, etc.
I have run snmpwalk on the CMTS and directly on CM, but I dont have the appropiate MIBs, nor i understand what OID relates to what (just the evident ones, such as the firmware version and so).
Can anyone help me with this? MIBs should be great, but any sugestions on what OIDs to watch will be great too.
Greetings we can supply three Arris C3 CMTS pn 713919 1D 6U for $3900.00ea. This equipment has been tested working and ships with 90 day hardware warranty. Thank you.
