Hmm, I see that you have not RiverDelta BSR1000 not Motorola BSR1000 CMTS, but CPU is the same.
I`ve :

The difference is that I`ve firmware with PRRE, and my firmware with suffix with PRRU.
I`ve seen somewhere that it`s important...
No, BSR1000 in not able to separate traffic of CM & CPE.
The idea of separating traffic take the beginnig from VLAN.
In ARRIS it`s called bridge-group.
And by default, ARRIS (c3) routes CM traffic via one ethernet interface and CPE traffic via another ethernet interface (C3 has 2 interfaces).
Of course it`s possible to use only one interface, but you need special license for this.
Talking about BSR1000 - I don`t seen any mention about VLAN capablity.
And in addition it has only one ethernet port and can work only in router mode.

Can you please email me firmware and documentation, i'll give it a try...
Sorry, I don`t distribute any CMTS firmware and documentation for free.
It's my understanding that you need a current maintenance contract in order to receive software updates and tech support.
If you're not sure, contact Motorola tech support toll free at (888) 944-4357, or (215) 323-0044 if you cannot dial the US toll-free number from your country, and choose option 3 and then 1.

Do you have doocumentation for your CMTS, and is he capable of separating CM and CPE traffic like cisco and arris?
Can you please email me firmware and documentation, i'll give it a try...
