Hi,
I have a VoIP provider that uses SIP. I understand that the SBV2150 does not support SIP. However, If I had the cable modem config file set up correctly, could I use PacketCable on my system then once it leaves my head end turn it over to my VoIP provider who uses SIP? If someone could help me with this, I would have developed some incredible software that manages the entire private cable system. Everything! Billing provisioning, VoIP, camera a program guide channel, a weather channel, a work order management systems, graphs, pretty much total remote control. (because I'm lazy) :) An all in one device like the SBV2150 would be the final piece. Ambit and Arris make SIP compatible devices, but they won't sell to me unless I by thousands. I only need hundreds.
Eric
You can use Asterisk (IP-PBX) to make NCS client (SBV5120) to talk with SIP client. Hope this is what you need.
