Im configuring a cuple of Arris C3 CMTS'es, and for some reason cablemodems keep on ranging, they "see" power on the frecuency configured, but they dont stop ranging, I even tried to use one ofe the sample configuration scripts on the User Manual. They dont even get to lock on the Downstream.
Any comment will be apreciated.

this post is a bit old but i have the same problem. We have a C3 and we used the simple bridge example from the manual and the modems can't find the DS. In the manual they write that aber the configuration of the cmts the RX LEDs on the front should be green but an our CMTS it's all off.
Can somebody give me advise?

Have you made no shut on the physical and at least one logical channel?
the leds should be green and blinking on activity.
no cable upstream 1.0 shutdown
cable upstream 1.0 status activate
no cable upstream 1 shutdown
