I'm curious what kind of settings other people are running. Assuming a mix of D2 and 3 modems (8 and 4 channel versions), Do you find a certain percentage of allocation working better or worse? My understanding is that, out of 100% of a channel capacity, you can allocate a % to be dedicated to that channel, and the rest can be shared, same for each channel in each wideband interface. So is it better to staticly assign the least amount to each channel, or does that cause excessive load balancing of the d2 modems? Whats your experience?
I'm a old java programmer but beginner in snmp. I got a java application that read all CM mac/oid from cmts and persist them to a database. how can I know whats the upstream each CM is connected to?

I would like to repeat a question that was some years ago on this forum. Where can I get an actual firmware for THG540?
I have tried to register at http://cable.imagesenligne.com but without succsess. Is there other place where I can get it.
At this moment I have a firmware from 2007 and my ISP doesn't performs any updates.
Hey everyone, I'm just looking for a little input/discussion about something. While testing D3.0 I noticed you can have multiple Wideband interfaces, ex: Wi1/0:0 and Wi1/0:1. Does anyone have any input on what a real world solution for this would be? One of the only solutions I could come up with is using it for lets say IPv6.. Create a "bundle6" interface with all v6 information and force v6 modems to a specifically controlled Wideband interface.
I'm new in DOCSIS, how can i upgrade/downgrade firmware of a docsis cable modem, which option do i need to set in configuration and what is the format of the file.
I'm trying to locate a CPE but i have no idea which modem it's connected to. It's in a large appartment complex with almost a thousand users so i can't look at them one by one. I tried using the CPE MAC address in shows cable modem hosts but it dosen't seem to see the CPE behind the modems. We're using a Motorola BSR2000 . Can someone help me with the command i'm supposed to use to scan the entire network looking for a specific CPE MAC ? Is that even possible with the equipment we have there ?
Are you fed up with huge and dull CMTS and often annoyed by the installation? Do you intend to enlarge your network scale with lower investment? Now you have a smarter choice—— the Micro-CMTS JH-D2011
What is Micro CMTS?
Micro-CMTS is tailor made for distributive CMTS deployment, it can be installed on those optical nodes located at housing estate, buildings and hotels and so on. It provides one more choice for operators.
What advantage does Micro CMTS have?
here is my dhcpd config, i have two CMTS's on one DHCP server, i need to activate my MTA's now, but the MTA's get an IP from CPE's pool and start to loose users from dhcp server, the modem flashes online:
