MODEM is Locking upstream on QPSK however configured for 16QAM

Hi,
I have configured modulation profile for upstream 16 QAM however modem is picking QPSK for US modulation.

modulation-profile 2
request tdma qpsk off 64 0 16 338 0 16 fixed on
initial tdma qpsk off 640 5 34 338 0 48 fixed on
station tdma qpsk off 384 5 34 338 0 48 fixed on
short tdma 16qam off 168 6 75 338 7 16 shortened on
long tdma 16qam off 192 8 220 338 0 16 shortened on

Modem parameter :
Frequency Tx Power Modulation symbol rate
52.000 53.256 QPSK 2560
55.500 52.350 QPSK 2560

Kindly suggest.

More Config

Can you post a bit more of your configuration, specifically the cable interface portion that this modem is attached to? Also that upstream power level is borderline maxed out for 2 channel bonding, and would not bond to 4 channels in the future or survive any kind of attenuation currently, so it should probably be corrected.

Upstream

Can you confirm that you have "logical-channel 0 profile 2" and "logical-channel 1 profile 2" set on your in use upstream interfaces? I don't see your upstream configuration listed in the above config snippet.

Can you post your upstream

Can you post your upstream config as well as any spectrum rules that may be present?
