Senior Docsis Design & Test Engineer
Function:
•You execute investigations, feasibility studies and surveys into the cable access network evolution (CCAP, remote architecture, DOCSIS 3.1, ...)
•You design access network solutions, compliant to the overall network architecture, for implementing new services within project timelines and budget
•You are aware of the vendor SLA requirements and manage the vendor to operate within these SLA’s
•You verify independently the operational readiness, develop test procedures to ensure that newly deployed systems/services are correctly deployed and monitored
•You interface with the operations department and provide guidance, advice and leadership in trouble shooting main incidents
•You manage technical escalations related to the E2E DOCSIS network to your management and provide updates in an appropriate way
•You provide leadership and to mentor the non-senior engineers to ensure that they increase in their technical knowledge and capabilities
•You maintain and build proper documentation of access network and provisioning system set-ups
Profile:
•You have 7 years experience in the telecom industry
•You are a good communicator (oral, written, presenting) and an excellent team player
•You take ownership and can work hands-on when necessary
•You can manage a high workload and you are an expert in multitasking
•You have an expert knowledge of DOCSIS based cable networks and a deep understanding of provisioning and monitoring systems (DHCP, TFTP, SNMP, IPDR, TR-069, mediation, ...)
•You are a specialist in TCP/IP and associated protocols
•You are result-oriented and customer driven
