Sorry about that. I had to go thru several revs of Drupal to get it completely updated and it seems a few things were lost along the way - search being one of them. I'll poke around and get that restored asap. About google adsense -- I honestly don't recall where it was displayed before (possibly lower left margin rather than a footer/banner?) where it was unobtrusive. It's one of the things that disappeared and took forever to get running with a new module. It was probably a lot smaller. I'll tuck it away so it doesn't clutter up pages.
Also: I'm seeing several bugs, the worst of which is that the forums won't sort by date correctly. If anyone would like to see them sorted by date just click "recent posts" on the left - that should clear it up. I've got to get a patch installed to correct that and it's going to take a little bit of time.
