Hi I've been studying up on the Cisco ubr7225 CLI. But there is one command which I can't really relate to even after reading the materials.
Whats is this "attribute" of 80000000 means? For example
cable upstream bonding-group 1
upstream 0
upstream 1
upstream 2
upstream 3
attributes 80000000
Cheers.
It's all extremely poorly documented - but as I recall the first "8" is used when utilizing the MTC-mode required attribute command which enables you to configure your CM's with a TLV 43.9.something = 80000001 to force them to use the bonding group on the linecard configure with attributes 80000001.
Well I dont think that syntax would apply to a 7225, as they are DOCSIS 3.0 related commands
But for a DOCSIS 3.0 CMTS :
The first part of the attribute is auto assigned by the CMTS and indicates different things such as wideband, high availability, low latency etc
The 2nd part of the attribute is operator-chosen.
Operator can then optionally setup cable modems or multicast flows with required-mask and forbidden-mask to steer certain types of users/flows to particular bonded groups
For example you might reserve some bonded groups for business users, or you might want multicast IPTV to hit a particular spanned bonded downstream group
