so we use arris servassure here at work , and i know i can see a modem flap count in the real time page for a specific modem . is there any way to show a certain # of high flaps on a node acrosss all modems? so if i was trying to find a specific issue with a section of plant , i could see similar high flaps ? under advanced tab on realtime you can make a snmp oid but i cant seem to figure that out and have no instructions on how to do so. i know i can look at graphs/tables and see everything else but just wanted to see if i could search by flaps in addition. i dont have access to arris cmts commands only servassure.
check with "show cable flap-list sort-flap" command
I tried what you said but it didnt work , or i did it wrong. Have you used that command on servassure?
Seems like some (if) commands work or a few others. Just wish i had a list. Also servasure tells you how many flaps a specific modem has but doesnt tell you what they are from or reset the count. We had a doc3 4 line arris modem rebooting couple times an hour with full data downloading and uploading for a week straight. 37 mb down and 5 mb up. It had 720 flaps. I tried finding a oid to display the flaps but couldnt find right one. All servasure says is enter oid command. And i can do that for cmts or cm. i was going to email arris but havent yet. Coworkers and sups arent familiar with this. I feel it could help me troubleshoot and help techs in field.
