I'm trying to run D3 modems (arris CM820) on Cisco ubr10k with Edge QAM Harmonic NSG 9116 without DTI server (Only Wideband DS channels).
Modems are trying to register as D3:

Not the right settings ubr10K or Edge QAM?
Edge QAM detects output service (upd ip/port mode). IP and MAC of Edge QAM in ubr10k settings correct.

May not be the correct settings of output service Edge QAM?

No DTI server???

If you don't have a DTI server, how is the timing synchronized between the 10k and EQAM?

You need a DTI server to get the wideband channels to work from the EQAM...that's why the modem is being rejected and only using the single channel from the 5x20 card...from what I can tell.

Any follow up questions?

Isn't it possible?

Isn't it possible to make a bonding group with 1 DS from card 5x20 and 7 DS from Wideband SPA?
This bonding group is only for wideband modems.

7 way BG

You can make a 7 way comprising of just wideband SPA

The modem will register on the primary from the 5x20, and will source its timing etc there, but will use the 7DS BG for all the data xfer

I have some feedback on your config (keep in mind I am not a 5x20 expert though) :

1) watch out for the freq gap between the primary and the modulars, better to keep this contiguous if you can. Some modem tuners dont support big gaps. Many modems need all the channels to be within a 60MHz window

2) in the interface cable 5/0/0, the "downstream Modular-Cable 1/0/0 rf-channel 0-6" looks wrong. By placing that statement there, you are saying these 7 channels are primary enabled (this requires a DTI server). Since you do not have a DTI, you should remove this statement. (The cable fiber-node stanza is the one which will take care of linking these SPA channels to this MAC domain). Once you remove this, the interface modular-cable stanzas will go away too
