Hello everyone,
Six months ago, in my company, we upgrade our cisco ubr7246vxr to an Ubr10K. Before when using the ubr7246, we used remote-query to get the cable modems 2.0 downstream and upstream information without problem. But since moving to the Ubr10K the remote-query doesn't work the same as before, now we can only get the upstream SNR right, but nothing about the downstream and even upstream power information is missing. When we started using the upstream bonding, the CMs 3.0 started reporting their upstream power and upstream SNR with remote-query.
Could this be an issue releated to the IOS of our Ubr10K? Or is it a normal behavior with CMs 3.0?
Maybe check the info here
https://www.docsis.org/forums/docsis-chat/remote-query-timing-out
Thanks for the info mbowe, it helps me correct some misconfigurations, I was getting a lot of timeout, but still the problem persist, I'm guessing I have some kind of bug in the IOS of my cmts. Because even some of the CMs 2.0 that I have working with the ubr7246 are not reporting US power, DS power and DS SNR and there are other that do it.
You can adjust the polling period :
cable modem remote-query
We also set the source-interface to ensure it is consistent
cable modem remote-query src-ip
We use 12.2(33)SCJ4 on our ubr10ks
This is the last version before they ceased development
Seems pretty stable, we have used various combinations of PRE4, PRE5, 20x20, 3G60, SPA24
Putting some SPA144 in soon.
