Problem with CM reset.

Hi everyone!
I use motorola SBG900 CMs (with access point) have conected with a JH-hE3014 CMTS.
If i make reset some CM then i loose connection (online) between that CM and CMTS. Then i get information from that CM:

Transfer Operational Parameters through TFTP in Progress

and below information from the CMTS:

INIT-RNG-REQ from CM w/MacAddr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx pri_sid=0x 3 old_uschan=4 new_uschan=4
wchich has reset since it previously ranged! Deleting ...
RNG-RPS to NEW-CM xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx psid=0x0004 us=4 kRnContinue

and after few seconds next information from the CMTS is similar:

INIT-RNG-REQ from CM w/MacAddr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx pri_sid=0x 3 old_uschan=5 new_uschan=4
wchich has reset since it previously ranged! Deleting ...
RNG-RPS to NEW-CM xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx psid=0x0004 us=5 kRnContinue

Last over CMs are online with CMTS (don't loose conection with CMtS).
If I make reset of CMTS (after booting) all CMs connected with the CMTS are online.

Could someone write to me how should I fix that problem?
Maybe my problem with reset CM is hidden in fileconfig (which one parameter of flieconfig should I change?) or tftp setup is wrong.

To apologise for my bad spelling but I'm not Enhlish.

cable mdoem rest

Sorry if I misunderstand, but want to confirm the problem..
you have Motorola SBG900 modems on a non cable labs certified cmts and if you reset the modem it doesn't come back online. if you reset the cmts it does come back along with the other modems, am I right?

Answer

If I reset CM then it doesn't come back online. After when I reset CMTS then that CM comes back online.

Try to do:

clear cable modem x.x.x.x del and check if it goes online.
Is there a problem with "deaf" modems also?

sounds to be cmts issue

Would think host auth issue or software with the cmts. is there a clear cable modem offline option in the cli? one is online and working and if reset it doesn't come back online unless you reset the cmts.... not a modem issue, thinking modem gets power cycled. cmts database or possible config option. not a cable labs certified cmts, so there's no way to say for sure they follow the docsis spec while the modem does.. recommend you contact support from cmts company and let the group know how the issue gets resolved
