I have a motorola BSR64000 which was removed the enable password 7 lines and enable secret 5
Now when I try to get as reports enable authentication failure
how can access the privileged mode without these lines?
Is this the same locally ? Sometimes these things dont like being configured remotely (via telnet) without it. I always did the initial ip and username config over serial.
best way is to reload while connected to console. as the srm does it's diags and passes, you have something like 7 seconds to stop the boot.
you should see something like [bsr64000] . type p to print. next the end you will flag 0x1000 or 0x2000. type c and just hit enter until you reach that flag and just put in 0x10 . when back to the prompt, @ or L (lower case). ? will confirm what you need to type to load. once it's up with all the cards in the run state, type copy start run. you will already be in the enable mode. from here you can add the new password
