new in docsis world need advice

Hello guys, I'm new here. We have an FTTH network and want to acquire our competitor, which runs a coax-only setup.

The setup includes a headend and 10 optical nodes (we plan to add 2-3 more to subdivide high-density areas). Currently serving 800 customers, with a 5G fiber pipe planned to feed the entire network.

What CMTS options work best? I initially considered the ATX Pico miniCMTS200a (one per node), then found the Blonder Tongue BT-CMTS-1604-U—maybe just 2 would suffice.

I spotted some Chinese CMTS models too, but I'm wary of them.

Lastly, I really want to avoid big legacy dinosaurs like UBR10K CMTS—no space and no need.

I'm all ears!

Casa cmts

for performance, stay away from pico and bonder tongue. they aren't docsis certified and have issues..
I've worked at Motorola, Arris and Casa and even though I've been working for another company now I still support and help deploy Casa as my choice cmts if I had 800 customers. currently have customers with 200 customers up to 12k on a single chassis doing docsis 3.1 that offer 1Gb/2Gb down and 150Mb up.
there are others here who support then as well as work for companies that sell them.
anyone of us would be happy to help with your purchase and support / deployment
