Moving from D1 to D1.1/D2 on test bed-help needed

Hi guys,
I usually use the forum as a way of keeping up what others are up to but I need a bit of help and a steer.I have a small,ad-hoc, test bed (I work for a large MSO) which is a Cisco VXR7246, with MC28U,MC16C and and a NPE-G1. We have a varying degree of modems on it,small numbers. I use the CMTS mainly for trying out and troubleshooting the RF/HFC features of the IOS plus new CPE that go to the field, rather than the routing/load balancing/subscriber management etc etc side of things. So its a basic set up.
I use the on-board DHCP/TFTP feature of the CMTS to provide the config file/IP address's etc.Although most of the modems are DOCSIS 2.0 compliant, I run them in DOCSIS 1.0, mainly because I dont need anything else. But lately, with the higher tiers of service we are now offering, I need to up my game as things like service flows and BPI+ are running in the production networks-so time to upgrade ;-) Plus as I'm switching between the likes of ATDMA and TDMA and 6.4Mhz with 64QAM/16QAM, it seems only natural I get the IP/TCP side of things sorted.

I dont have access to Cisco CNR (although I can get it from the engineering bods if really pushed-maybe), I'm not a Linux guy either. So I am looking for the bare minimum to get myself up to D1.1/D2. The CMTS has a few servers attached it, all Windows machines, with the likes of TFTP32 and SNMPc on it (plus some internal FTP servers for testing). I know I need to get a config file editor/maker and have looked at the offering from Vulterware-what else do I need? Can I just change the config to point at the TFTP server on the windows machine (same subnet as the CMTS) with the "new" config files?

All help gratefully received! ;-)

cheers

The internal config file

The internal config file generator of the CMTS can only do DOCSIS 1.0 QoS

For DOCSIS 1.1 QoS, you will need to use a config file program like Motorola BTIconfig (windows), Arris PacketACE (Windows) or docsis.sourceforge.net (Linux).

Create the 1.1 style file and then pop it on your TFTP server, or you could upload it to the CMTS to be served by its built in TFTP
