if it's still passing data, meaning customers are online and able to surf the web, do a reload during a maintenance window and access would return. chances are you have old software or bootrom. if you run scripts to telnet in, make sure they exit when completed.
post what the software version and bootrom is. not a show ver, just the software and bootrom
Carl the CMTS had before a FAIL LED ON. So I removed the RAM and put it back in. So the CMTS switched off the FAIL LED. But still it does not respond to any console or telnet access. There are no modems connected to it. I have restarted many times. May be it need to reset something on the board i dont know.
