Hello Everybody,
I was looking for a way to control many CPE bandwidth using ServiceFlows.. but when I try to control more than 10 clients (I mean, put more than 10 UsPacketClass, 10 DsPacketClass, 10 UsServiceFlow and 10 DsServiceFlow) my Cable Modem doesn't come online, staying in init(o) (This I can see directly in my cmts - show cable modem 0013.711b.5498).
There are limitations like this??
My CMTS is a Cisco 7246VXR and i'm using docsis to encode. The Cable Modem is a motorola SurfBoard 5100/5101 Software Version: SB5100-2.3.3.0-SCM00-NOSH and SB5101-2.5.2.0-SCM01-NOSH-NNDMN.p7
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
first In your config file you can set the max number of classifiers it is tlv 28 ( i believe the default on motorola modems is 20, which is why it won't come online with more than that try increasing that number) , however the modem's themselves also have a limit to the number of classifiers that they can handle, I could not find the reference but I think motorola modems have a limit of 32 classifers, this may also vary from firmware to firmware.
i think that modems are limited at 20 classefires, also the cmts's are limited with classfiers, for example motorola bsr1000 is limited to 4.000 classefiers, which means you cant connect more modems to this cmts.
