Is there a limit on maximum ip address and subnets routed through a cable modem? Assuming the modem is bridged and i am routing to a CPE device behind the cable modem.
Cable modem is a broad term. In it's simplest form a cable modem it is an intelligent bridge. You can limit the number of CPE's attached to it (layer 2 mac address count) via docsis configuration. This is a basic cable modem, cable in, 1 ethernet out.
If you are talking a newer cable modem, with NAT, dhcp etc. All bets are off, it is a cable modem, AND basic NAT Network Address Translation router.
No limit for routed connections like that

Hope that helps.
