Hi,
I am using CISCO CBR8 . Each physical Upstream configured for 4 logical upstreams. Can I use different modulation profile for different logical upstreams of same physical upstream??
This is a config from my lab cbr-8:
ontroller Upstream-Cable 0/0/0
us-channel 0 frequency 34000000
us-channel 0 channel-width 3200000 3200000
us-channel 0 description Port 1 Freq 1
us-channel 0 docsis-mode tdma-atdma
us-channel 0 minislot-size 4
us-channel 0 modulation-profile 123
us-channel 0 equalization-coefficient
no us-channel 0 shutdown
us-channel 1 frequency 26000000
us-channel 1 channel-width 6400000 6400000
us-channel 1 description Port 1 Freq 2
us-channel 1 docsis-mode atdma
us-channel 1 minislot-size 1
us-channel 1 modulation-profile 221
us-channel 1 equalization-coefficient
no us-channel 1 shutdown
I'm only using 2 upstreams at this time, but you can see one is tdma-atdma, while the other is atdma only, at a 6.4mhz wide carrier.
Different modulation profiles.
You will get different modem counts on these upstreams though, as upstream 1 has much greater capacity than upstream 0. However, thats normal for cmts's, at least cisco, anyway.
