I want replace 1 or 2 ubr7k to the ubr10k with one 20x20D card, i have some downs congested in this moment.

I will start by change one of them, then when everything is operating i will change the other.

In this moment in the first CMTS i have 4 differents zones with 2 downs each zone, i have only modems with docsis 1.1, i bought now modems with docsis3.0 (4DS) to use with ubr10k (i will use docsis1.1 modems too).

The ubr10k is very differente, i have some doubts with the solution design. Can someone help with the design?

If you have MC28U cards in a

If you have MC28U cards in a 7246VXR, you might want to look swapping them out for MC88V

The MC88V has the same upstream density as a MC28U, but 4x the downstream density

The 4x downstreams allow for D3 channel bonding, plus also the D1/D2 modems can easily be distributed evenly across these 4 downstreams

So if you are happy with your upstream density then MC88V is a good choice. Would be very easy to migrate existing config and headend wiring.

Otherwise if you are looking to move to a platform with heaps more capacity and room for growth, then ubr10k with a couple of MC20x20V is a good choice

Note that if you were thinking of buying 3 or more MC20x20V then you are probably better off looking at the 3G60 linecards instead. It would work out cheaper.
