CASA C40g US16x8

Hi everyone,

After replacing the upstream module with a US16x8, everything is working correctly. However, when checking the logs, I noticed the following error reported by the new 16x8 module:

Apparently the HW monitor failed.

Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Should I be concerned about this error, or is it something common/benign?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

What is your software version

What is your software version? what does show running-config verbose | in hardware show? what about show system monitor threshold? What about show system detail?

That is a quite old version

That is a quite old version of code, but one of the newest you can run with your card configuration. I have not seen the errors you referenced before I would say they are probably harmless, you have fairly typical settings and worse case scenario it would take a little longer to detect CPU / Temperature changes on the linecards.

I removed the physical card

I removed the physical card and reinserted it. Since then, the error has stopped appearing. It seems the issue was related to the card connection, at least for now.
Thanks Kwesss.
