CASA C3200 Docsis 3 CPE

Hi,

I have one issue and I'm kindly asking for advice.
I have CMTS C3200 and Ubee EVW32C CPE.

What I noticed is:

Upstream Channel Set :2/5.0/0, 2/5.1/0
Downstream Channel Set :4/2/3, 4/2/1, 4/2/2, 4/2/0
Unusable channel list :2/6.1/0, 2/6.0/0
MAC Version :DOC3.0
Qos Provisioned Mode :DOC1.1
Enable DOCSIS2.0 Mode :Y

MAC Address US IF DS IF Sid USPwr(dB) USSNR TXTime MicroReflec DSPwr DSSNR Mode
TX RX (dB) Offset (dBc) (dB) (dB)
6814.0124.a694 2/5.0/0 4/2/3 434 35.8 10.2 32.6 1690 35 -3.4 39.5 atdma
6814.0124.a694 2/5.1/0 4/2/1 434 34.4 10.0 30.1 1690 40 -2.6 40.2 atdma
6814.0124.a694 2/6.0/0 4/2/2 434 34.9 0.0 42.1 0 38 -3.0 40.0 atdma
6814.0124.a694 2/6.1/0 4/2/0 434 35.0 0.0 42.1 0 37 -2.1 39.8 atdma

The strange thing is that the config file has defined 300Mbit speed in download. But I get only 100Mbit and don't know what is the cause.

Why does it mean Qos Provisioned Mode DOC1.1?

And what does it mean:
6814.0124.a694 2/6.0/0 4/2/2 434 34.9 0.0 42.1 0 38 -3.0 40.0 atdma
6814.0124.a694 2/6.1/0 4/2/0 434 35.0 0.0 42.1 0 37 -2.1 39.8 atdma

TX time offset is 0? What could be the reason?

Thanks and regards, 0603

your Downstream Channel Set only includes 4 SCQAM downstream channels, assuming 256qam each SC-QAM is capable of transferring ~36 mpbs, so 4 * 36 = 144 mbps so there is not enough bandwidth for 300 mbit service on those 4 SC-QAMs.

There are only two ways to provision speeds on a cable modem Docsis 1.0 version is class of service, which is a simple US/DS speed no option to classify traffic . Docsis 1.1 uses service classes, which can use packet classifiers to offer differentiated services on both US and DS. i.e. you can prioritize traffic (i.e. Voip).

Typically this is during the ranging process, (usually when offline) without seeing the modem online status it is difficult to answer

newer versions of Casa software make this clearer, i.e. these are showing 0 time offset because they are offline.
