BSR RX48 ports to specific bonding groups

Hi.

Finally convinced them to to RX48's over the 2x8 cards for the BSR. I do not have them yet, but wanted to get some things figured out before the big day arrives.

I want to set two TX32's to a single RX48. Each bonding group attaching to a physical port on the RX48.

Is it possible to do this?

End result:

HSIM-1
TX32-1
Bonding Groups 0,1,2,3
RX48-1
Physical Ports 0,1,2,3

HSIM-2
TX32-2
Bonding Groups 4,5,6,7
RX48-1
Physical Ports 4,5,6,7

HSIM-3
TX32-3
Bonding Groups 8,9,10,11
RX48-2
Physical Ports 0,1,2,3

HSIM-4
TX32-4
Bonding Groups 12,13,14,15
RX48-2
Physical Ports 4,5,6,7
HSIM SPARE
TX32 SPARE
RX48 SPARE

Local testing 2x8

Thanks!

for the most part yes

I would setup lag with the hsim4 ports instead of splitting it down the middle. route maps would be needed to send out different ports and with the amount of data going through it, would need a bigger pipe anyway

The 'lag' port is something

The 'lag' port is something that is foreign to me, at least in name. Could you explain what the heck this is? Never saw anything by that name on a 10k or an e6k.

Do you have a sample configuration for the rx48 with multiple bonding groups?

Buddy explained the Lag

Buddy explained the Lag concept. Cool. Got it. Makes more sense.

Can I do 16 channel DS Bonding? Have not seen anything to suggest that it cannot...
