I am not able to see upstream channel bonding taking place between 2 physical ports in the same slot.
any suggestions on the configuration?

Not sure what equipment you

Not sure what equipment you're running, but a 2x8 cannot do upstream bonding if that's what you're running. The cards are not capable of upstream bonding.

On an RX48 you CAN do upstream bonding between two physical ports, but I can't think of any reason why you would want to since each physical port can handle up to 6 upstreams logically on that card. [edit--Of course, you might have an 80mhz upstream range, so that would make sense, see further below edit for what should work]

Here's upstream bonding on an RX48.
cable bind downstream 1/6/0,1/6/1,1/6/2,1/6/3,1/7/0,1/7/1,1/7/2,1/7/3
cable bind upstream 7/0,7/1,7/2,7/3
cable dynamic-service authorization-mode unauthorize
cable dynamic-service active-timeout 60
no shutdown
cable downstream bonding-group 3710 1/6/0 1/6/1 1/6/2 1/6/3 1/7/0 1/7/1 1/7/2 1/7/3
cable downstream bonding-group 3711 1/6/0 1/6/1 1/6/2 1/6/3
cable downstream bonding-group 3712 1/7/0 1/7/1 1/7/2 1/7/3
cable upstream bonding-group 7357 7/0/0 7/1/0 7/2/0 7/3/0

What image version, equipment, and bootrom are you running?

[edit]
If you're EuroDOCSIS, I'm going to use examples of RX48 ports 0/0 and 0/1. I'm only done this accidentally without the intention of doing it, so don't take my word for it, but hopefully this gets you in the right direction.

0/1 you'll want to remove all of the configuration entirely, and bind your upstreams and downstreams to the 0/0 interface. For 8 upstream bonding.

cable bind upstream 0/0,0/1,0/2,0/3,1/0,1/1,1/2,1/3
cable upstream bonding-group 0/0/0 0/1/0 0/2/0 0/3/0 1/0/0 1/1/0 1/2/0 1/3/0

It should give you an error if you have frequencies overlapping.
Hope this helps, and again I've only done this on accident and unintentionally, so I could be completely wrong.

can't upstream bonding-group

Hello everyone,
I want to combine 2 ports downstream and 2 ports upstream, but i can't use the command :
cable upstream bonding-group 7737 0/0/0 0/1/0 0/2/0 0/3/0 1/0/0 1/1/0 1/2/0 1/3/0
anyone can tell me any solution?
Thanks so much!
