BSR 2000 over temp error

Hello ,

I have a bsr 2000 that is reading :

CPU overtemp: 1

Which I know is an error and the alarm light is showing red. I am thinking the alrm is due to this error? And if so , how could I fix it? It is causing the cmts to drive the CPU Core Remote Temp: 85.00 C, which is too hot in my opinion. Any help much appreciated, thanks Jose.

Is there a fan failure? Dust

Is there a fan failure? Dust contamination? Whats the temp of the room its in? The room shouldn't be more than 21 or 22 (usually less). I've never known a temp sensor to go bad in any cmts, particularly for the cpu temp. Just because the CMTS is still working doesn't mean thats reading wrong.

I'd recommend highly that you put a spare into operation and fix it.
